Is hydroponic cultivation more sustainable than conventional agriculture?
If we look at hydroponic cultivation only from an environmental point of view, we can see that the environmental impact of this method is not entirely clear; on the one hand, this method of cultivation uses less water and does not result in erosion or depletion of soil and water, and the technology also reduces the use of fossil fuels, due to the fact that no agricultural machinery is used in the cultivation, sowing and transportation processes, and very little pesticides are used to control weeds, all of which have a positive impact on the environment and human health.
